How MySmartClaims Started
The idea was born when a public adjuster looked for ways to level the playing field on insurance claims. His 30 years of experience confirmed that typical homeowners know very little about settling insurance claims. Overwhelmingly, the insurance companies have the upper hand and can take advantage. He was convinced that if the general public had easy access to powerful information, they could make informed decisions and protect themselves from poor compensation. They wouldn’t have to leave money on the table.

SmartClaims.com, LLC was created in 2006. Its goal is to empower the public with valuable information, then give them a tool to evaluate an insurance claim on damage to their home. Software development took more than two years and was ready in July, 2008.
